Miss Spider Tea Party

Join us for a Miss Spider Tea Party at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. This program is for children ages 4 to 7. Miss Debra will read stories and there will be a special visitor. We'll also have fun treats for tea time.

Fun with Puffy Paint

Decorate a tote bag with special puffy paint that you can take home at this program for 8 to 12 year olds. It is scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23. Miss Debra has a fun hour planned for this group.

Valentine Books

Share a valentine book or two with your children in the next couple of weeks. There are many titles available at the library and here are just a few.

When Danny woke up there was a mysterious envelope on the floor with a big red heart inside. Who was it from? Danny and his mother try to find out in "Danny's Mystery Valentine" and they are in for a big surprise when they get home.

Marvin and Milton can't wait for Valentine's Day in "One Zillion Valentines" by Frank Modell. They realize though, they won't get any if they don't send any and that leads them on an incredible adventure.

"Spot's Valentine" by Eric Hill is a board book for the very young. Spot doesn't want to go outside and play because he's making something special. Mom is busy in the kitchen. Could they be making something for each other for the big day?

Mrs. Jenkins wants her class to celebrate Valentine's Day the nice way by making special valentines for everyone. That way no one will feel left out. When the big day comes, someone in the class has been forgotten. Everyone pitches in to make that person feel special, too. "Be My Valentine" by Rosemary Wells will touch your heart.

Ferdinand Fox wants to make a special valentine for Florette, something really different. He gathers flowers, ribbons, sticks, lace, and more. "The Best Valentine in the World" by Marjorie Sharmat doesn't turn out exactly as Fox had hoped, but the day certainly is interesting.

"Louanne Pig in the Mysterious Valentine" is by Nancy Carlson. Louanne gets a beautiful valentine, but doesn't know who it's from. There is one clue, and that is the sender used a green pen. Go along with Louanne in her quest to find out just who her secret admirer is.
