SYRACUSE_ Herbert Hait of Hobart and Bill Musson of Gilbertsville will be recipients of the Century Farm Award given annually by the New York State Agriculture Society in Syracuse.

Presentation of certificates signed by Gov. Mario Cuomo will be held Thursday, Jan. 5, 1984, during the Society's annual meeting.

The award, offered to four farms each year, is granted to those farms that have operated within the same family for a century of more, according to Don Neilson, treasurer of the society.

The Hait farm, located on Roses Brook Road in Hobart, has functioned since 1790, starting with Ezra Hait. The Musson dairy began in 1838 under Daniel Adcock Musson. Bill Musson earlier this year was named Otsego County Soil Conservation District.

The Society, founded in 1927, began granting its Century Farm Awards in 1937.
