COOPERSTOWN — Sumner M. Shumway, of Cooperstown, assistant vice-president and trust officer of the First National Bank of Cooperstown, has retired, it was announced by Howard J. Aufmuth Jr., bank president.
Mr. Shumway, who started with the bank in November of 1930, will work here until Jan. 1, and will have completed 33 years of service in the organization.
Arthur Jenkins Jr., has been named assistant trust officer, and Harry N. Shepard, currently cashier and assistant trust officer, has been named trust officer, said Mr. Aufmuth.
