---- — Lynn and Dawn Baker of Oneonta announce that their son, Jeffrey Baker, married Dawn Newcomb, daughter of Ronnie and Frances Newcomb from Chase City, Va., on Saturday, June 22.
The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. Lillian Hallstrand at St. Augustine’s Chapel in Nashville, Tenn.
The couple’s bridal party included Erik Jervis as best man, Scott Thomas, Robert Christenson, Mary Newcomb as maid of honor and Ruth Bradshaw as matron of honor, sisters of the bride, and Jennifer Baker, sister of the broom. The ring bearer was Cyrus Bradshaw, nephew of the bride, and flower girl was Anna Katherine Christenson, goddaughter of the groom.
A reception, including dinner and dancing, followed at the W.O. Smith School of Music in Nashville.
The groom is a graduate of Oneonta High School, and following high school he attended Coker College in Hartsville, S.C., where he also played baseball. Since college, he has worked as a small business sales associate for Dell Inc.
The bride is a graduate of Bluestone High School in Skipwith, Va., as well as NC State University and the University of Michigan. She works as a research scientist for Vanderbilt University.
The couple plan to remain in Nashville, where they met.
