Earth Festival 2011 is free and open to the public, and will be held Saturday, April 9, at Milford Central School. Tickets for the fashion show are $10 per person or $60 for a table of eight. Designers are needed for the show, and students from other area schools are invited to participate. Entries are $5 each, with prizes to be awarded in categories including accessories, casual wear, formal wear and recycled "treasure." For more information, an entry form or tickets, call Lori Henry or Lorre Gregory at 286-7721, ext. 8408.

Other highlights include a pre-festival bird walk led by Dave Kiehm, president of the Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society, and children's activities led by Milford Central School students. The Center for Agricultural Development and Entrepreneurship will serve local-beef burgers from Sunset View Farm in Milford and other local foods.

The EcoArt/Trendy Trash contest will return to Earth Festival this year as well.
