Registration under way for children's programs

(Continued)

“Big Nate Makes the Grade” by Lincoln Peirce takes place at P.S. 38 starting with the first day of school. Nate Wright is known for his mischief and in this comic format novel, children will eagerly follow all the panels as Nate goes from one day to another. Chess champ, a locker that’s a dump, and more will evoke laughter.

A collection of classic children’s poems is found in “Leave Your Sleep.” Natalie Merchant collected these after sharing poems with her daughter. Barbara McClintock has created beautiful illustrations to accompany them and it is a volume families can enjoy together.
