Three Oneonta High School singers were recently named to the All-State Choir after passing rigorous auditions. Willis Walley, OHS vocal music teacher, reported Tuesday.
The three are Barbara Angell and Lois Bull, altos, and Timothy Truscott, baritone.
Miss Angell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Angell, 60 Country Club Rd.; Miss Bull is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.N. Bull, upper West Street.
Mr. Truscott is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Truscott, 53 Spruce St. This is the second year Mr. Truscott has been named to the All-State Choir. He is also vice-president of the OHS Choir.
All three singers are seniors.
The All-State group is composed of 200 senior high school vocalists selected by individual audition from 800 applicants from all parts of the state, Mr. Walley said.
Saturday night, Dec. 7, the 200 voices will perform in a concert before 3,000 New York State school music educators in the Eastman Theater, Rochester.
The Oneonta area is represented by students from Laurens, Bainbridge, Fleischmanns, Roxbury and Morris.
