Senior Menus: April 28 to May 2

The following are senior-meals menus for the week of April 28 to May 2    



Monday: Breaded fish sandwich with tartar sauce, coleslaw, spring vegetable blend and mixed fruit cup.

Tuesday: Barbecue pork on a bun, sweet and sour cabbage, macaroni salad, spring vegetable blend and fruited gelatin.

Wednesday: Chicken and biscuit with gravy, side of cranberry sauce, sweet peas, golden glow salad and chocolate pudding.

Thursday: No menu available.

Friday: No menu available.


Coventry: Windy Hill Senior Center, Coventry Town Hall, state Route 235, Tuesday and Thursday, 656-8602.

Greene: Brightman Senior Center, Birdsall Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 656-4789.

McDonough: Genegantslet Activity Center, Methodist Church, two Thursdays per month, 647-5666.

New Berlin: Unadilla Valley Senior Activity Center, First United Methodist Church, 51 South Main Street, Tuesday and Thursday, 847-6350.

Norwich: Westside Park Senior Center, First Baptist Church, West Park Place, weekdays, 334-2910.

Sherburne: The Welcome Center, Grace Manor Center, Knapp Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 674-4600.

South Otselic: Plum Valley Forever Young Center, Methodist Church, Church Hill Road, two Fridays per month, (315) 653-4411.


Call by 10 a.m. on the serving day for reservations. Hours are weekdays 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


Monday: Cheese ravioli, Brussels sprouts, tossed salad, garlic bread and ice cream with peaches.

Tuesday: Home style meatloaf, Swiss baked potato, stewed tomatoes, golden glow salad, whole wheat bread and brownie.

Wednesday: Turkey pot pie, freshly baked biscuit, steamed broccoli, snow on the mountain, lemon pudding with oranges.

Thursday: Pot roast with gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, cran-grape juice, dinner roll and pineapple tidbits.

Friday: Chicken fricasee, steamed rice pilaf, sauteed string beans, cranberry sauce, apple juice, whole wheat bread and chocolate pudding.
