Senior Menus: May 5 to 9

The following are senior-meals menus for the week of May 5 to 9     



Monday: Swedish meatballs, egg noodles, Brussels sprouts, oatmeal bread and apricot halves.

Tuesday: Cheese lasagna roll-up with sauce, tossed salad, Italian bread and mixed fruit cup. 

Wednesday: Chicken spiedies on a hot dog bun with peppers and onions, green beans, oven roasted potatoes and strawberry shortcake with topping.

Thursday: Macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, sweet peas, rye bread and chocolate chip cookie.

Friday: Ham loaf, mashed potatoes, parsley carrots, whole wheat bread and whipped delight.


Coventry: Windy Hill Senior Center, Coventry Town Hall, state Route 235, Tuesday and Thursday, 656-8602.

Greene: Brightman Senior Center, Birdsall Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 656-4789.

McDonough: Genegantslet Activity Center, Methodist Church, two Thursdays per month, 647-5666.

New Berlin: Unadilla Valley Senior Activity Center, First United Methodist Church, 51 South Main Street, Tuesday and Thursday, 847-6350.

Norwich: Westside Park Senior Center, First Baptist Church, West Park Place, weekdays, 334-2910.

Sherburne: The Welcome Center, Grace Manor Center, Knapp Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 674-4600.

South Otselic: Plum Valley Forever Young Center, Methodist Church, Church Hill Road, two Fridays per month, (315) 653-4411.


Call by 10 a.m. on the serving day for reservations. Hours are weekdays 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


Monday: Swiss steak, oven browned potatoes, steamed peas, apple juice, whole wheat bread and butterscotch pudding.

Tuesday: Roast pork with gravy, mashed potatoes, California blend vegetables, applesauce, dinner roll, Jell-O with topping.

Wednesday: Beef macaroni casserole, green beans, tossed salad, cran-grape juice, garlic bread, strawberry ice cream sundae.

Thursday: Chicken Florentine, Butternut squash, coleslaw, whole wheat bread and cinnamon coffee cake.

Friday: Baked tilapia, baked potato, steamed broccoli, cottage cheese and pineapple, whole wheat bread and tapioca pudding.
