Senior Menus: May 19 to 23

The following are senior-meals menus for the week of May 19 to 23    



Monday: Kielbasa and sauerkraut, potato salad, green beans, rye bread and pear blush.

Tuesday: Spanish rice, cauliflower, tossed salad, Italian bread and bread pudding with raisins.

Wednesday: Chicken salad, three bean salad, potato salad, croissant and cottage cheese and mandarin oranges.

Thursday: Ham and potato casserole, Brussels sprouts, carrot coins, rye bread and fruited gelatin.

Friday: Stuffed pepper with sauce, cauliflower, veggie bread, oatmeal bread and ice cream with toppings.


Coventry: Windy Hill Senior Center, Coventry Town Hall, state Route 235, Tuesday and Thursday, 656-8602.

Greene: Brightman Senior Center, Birdsall Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 656-4789.

McDonough: Genegantslet Activity Center, Methodist Church, two Thursdays per month, 647-5666.

New Berlin: Unadilla Valley Senior Activity Center, First United Methodist Church, 51 South Main Street, Tuesday and Thursday, 847-6350.

Norwich: Westside Park Senior Center, First Baptist Church, West Park Place, weekdays, 334-2910.

Sherburne: The Welcome Center, Grace Manor Center, Knapp Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 674-4600.

South Otselic: Plum Valley Forever Young Center, Methodist Church, Church Hill Road, two Fridays per month, (315) 653-4411.


Call by 10 a.m. on the serving day for reservations. Hours are weekdays 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


Monday: Spaghetti with sauce, meatballs, sauteed zucchini, tossed salad, garlic bread and fruit cocktail.

Tuesday: Barbecue pork, seasoned spinach, buttered noodles, pineapple juice, dinner roll and apple crisp.

Wednesday: Citrus chicken, baked potato, mixed vegetables, cranberry orange salad, whole wheat bread and cinnamon coffee cake.

Thursday: Crab topped tilapia, oven browned potatoes, diced carrots, whole wheat bread and butterscotch pudding.

Friday: Roast turkey, traditional gravy, mashed sweet potatoes, steamed peas, whole wheat bread and ice cream.
