Library offers home delivery

 John Douglas is a seasoned FBI investigator specializing in criminal profiling. In “Law & Disorder” he discusses the criminal justice system and crimes of murder. He writes about some of his most challenging cases and previous criminals he has interviewed which include Charles Manson, James Earl Ray, David Berkowitz, etc. Douglas also talks about cases where justice was delayed or denied. This detailed study shows how this master investigator’s pursuit of justice has landed him at the top of his field.

Neurosurgeon Ali O’Day has just begun surgery to implant a minicomputer into the brain of a blind boy to enable him to see when the hospital pagers announce that a bomb has been found in the medical center. Police and investigators race to stop any danger as the boy hovers between life and death. Ali intends to outsmart this bomber in the novel “Code White” by Scott Cunningham, but can she?

“Yummy!: Good Food Makes Me Strong” by Shelley Rotner helps children make healthy choices in food from the time they are young.

Zoom at 200 mph in this fun stock car racing book “Speed” by Nathan Clement. You’ll feel just like you are in the stands as the cars speed by.

Maisy can’t wait for swimming lessons and you’ll want to watch as she learns. “Maisy Learns to Swim” by Lucy Cousins also features all her friends as they learn the basics together.

“Big Cats” by Claire Llewellyn looks at lions, cheetahs, leopards, jaguars and others in the big cat family. Photographs make the animals look real enough to leap off the pages into your room. Fascinating facts about the animals are included.

Library Hours: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; closed Sunday.
