EDMESTON — A 75-foot-long cluster of balloons of all colors blew by the home of Richard Nutt Jr. on Wilkinson Road about 5 p.m. Friday.
“It was storming when it came,” said Nutt. He and another man jumped up and caught the cluster and spread it out along his driveway.
“Our driveway is filled with a million balloons,” Nutt said. “It looks like a giant snake.”
The collection of balloons was tied to a plastic line, Nutt said. No identifying tag was attached to the balloons, which may have come from the south, he said.
He wasn’t sure what he was going to do with the balloons but said perhaps he’d give them away one-by-one to neighborhood children.
“It’s the biggest think in Edmeston that anyone has seen,” Nutt said.
