Senior Menus: Jan. 27 to 31

The following are senior-meals menus for the week of Jan. 27 to Jan. 31:



Monday: Creamed chipped beef, mashed potatoes, peas and mushrooms, pear blush and rye bread.

Tuesday: Sloppy Joe on a bun, corn and pimentos, tater tots and ketchup, mandarin oranges with cottage cheese. 

Wednesday: Hot open faced turkey sandwich with gravy, sliced carrots with parsley and blueberry crumble cake.

Thursday: Chicken spiedie on hot dog bun, oven roasted potatoes, broccoli and bread pudding with raisins/topping.

Friday: Meat lasagna, veggie blend, garden salad, peanut butter cookie and Italian bread.


Coventry: Windy Hill Senior Center, Coventry Town Hall, state Route 235, Tuesday and Thursday, 656-8602.

Greene: Brightman Senior Center, Birdsall Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 656-4789.

McDonough: Genegantslet Activity Center, Methodist Church, two Thursdays per month, 647-5666.

New Berlin: Unadilla Valley Senior Activity Center, Terrace Heights Center, Tuesday and Thursday, 847-8053.

Norwich: Westside Park Senior Center, First Baptist Church, West Park Place, weekdays, 334-2910.

Sherburne: The Welcome Center, Grace Manor Center, Knapp Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 674-4600.

South Otselic: Plum Valley Forever Young Center, Methodist Church, Church Hill Road, two Fridays per month, (315) 653-4411.


Call by 10 a.m. on the serving day for reservations. Hours are weekdays 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


Monday: Beef pepper steak, mashed potatoes, winter blend vegetables, golden glow salad, whole wheat bread and fruit cocktail.

Tuesday: Irish beef stew, buttermilk biscuit, apple juice, scalloped cabbage and chocolate pudding.

Wednesday: Spicy cranberry chicken, oven fried potatoes, steamed broccoli, grape juice, whole wheat bread and spiced peaches.

Thursday: Spaghetti and meatballs, string beans, tossed salad, garlic bread and vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce.

Friday: Pot roast with gravy, baked potato, mixed vegetables, tossed salad, whole wheat bread and Jell-O with topping.
