---- — This month, Huntington Memorial Library will offer genealogy, ebook and audio device classes as detailed below. Librarian Sarah Livingston will teach all these sessions. Registration is required for all classes and may be done in person or by calling 432-1980. Computers will be provided, compliments of the Four County Library System Traveling Classroom.

Learn about the resources available through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The lending program has changed its methods of ordering film, and you will want to learn about the revised process. Classes will be from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. June 13, and 5 to 6 p.m. June 24.
Ancestry.com Library Edition
Databases of Ancestry along with searching tips and how-to’s will be covered from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. June 14 and 5 to 6 p.m. June 17.
Learn how to search more than 23,580,000 New York state historical newspaper pages. Your all-in-one-stop for searching newspapers online, will be covered 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. June 25.
Learn how to download library books from our free Download Zone using your ebook reader or audio device during these classes. If you have any questions about which class is right for you, just ask. Classes last approximately one hour, depending on questions.
Kindle (and Kindle App)
Use your Kindle device to check out library books. Your device must be registered with Amazon. Computer optional. If you are using the Kindle App on a mobile device, signup for this class.
Classes will be offered at noon June 17, 5:35 p.m. June 18, 3 p.m. June 20 and 1:30 p.m. June 24.
This class is for users of Nooks, Sony eReaders, mobile devices, and other brands besides Kindle. It is also for readers interested in reading within an Internet browser. If you are using a Nook or other eReader device that does not support apps, you will need to bring your own laptop to fully participate. You may still come to learn if you are unable to bring your own laptop. Most mobile devices are compatible with the app. If you would like to read books using your Internet browser, you should sign up for this class. Any browser capable device will work – smartphone, computer or tablet.
Classes will be offered at 3 p.m. June 18, 5:45 p.m. June 20, noon June 21 and 3:30 p.m. June 25.
Software is needed to listen to Audiobooks on most players and computers. Unless you have an app compatible device, you will need to bring your own laptop to fully participate. You may still come to learn if you are unable to bring your own laptop. Class will be held at 3:30 p.m. June 13.
Library Hours: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; closed Sunday.
