Fall is quickly approaching. We’re all wondering, where did the summer go?
Children’s Coordinator Debra Hansen will be offering many programs for children for the Fall/Winter series and details follow below. Registration is required for all programs and may be done in person or calling the library at 432-1980. Programs are from September 4 to December 20, 2013.
Library Lap Sit : Lap Sit is a reading program for infants from birth to 13 months accompanied by a parent or care giver. Activities include stories, songs, action rhymes and more. The program is scheduled for 9:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays.
Tiny Tots: This is a program for children ages 14 to 24 months accompanied by a parent or care giver scheduled for 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. There will be stories, songs and other activities each week.
Toddler Time: This program is for 2- and 3-year-olds accompanied by an adult. It includes stories, songs, crafts, and other fun activities. Choose one program from this schedule: 9:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays, 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays or 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursdays.
After School 4 - 7 Years: Each week children will read stories, playing games, singing songs and making crafts. Children who are 4 to 7 years old can register for the program that will run 3:45 to 4:20 p.m. Tuesdays. Parents may attend.
Afternoon Adventures 8 - 12 Years: Children will meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays for this afterschool program. During September, the group will read “My Side of the Mountain” by Jean Craighead George. Miss Debra and the children will read a few chapters every week and then follow with a fun craft.
Crocodile loves watermelon. He eats it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. One day, he accidentally swallows a seed. Oh, no!
