Dollars for Scholars recipients honored

The Oneonta Chapter of Dollars for Scholars Board of Directors welcomed families, sponsors of awards and community members to the 17th annual recognition program of scholarship recipients on Tuesday, June 2, in the Stack Lounge/Dewar Union at Hartwick College. These scholarships are funded by contributions from community members, fundraising activities, sponsorships and endowments.

Following an introduction by an ODS board member, each award recipient shared a personal achievement he or she is proud of. Students have the opportunity to meet the sponsor or sponsors of the award presented to them. Jess McCue, Class of 2008, returned to share her freshman year experience with the graduating seniors and attendees.
