To the transformation of the former Bresee’s building.

An open house was held March 19 at the building, now known as Klugo’s Parkview Place, on Main Street in Oneonta.

It was the first time that the 12 apartments on the top three floors of the building had been seen by the public. Tenants started to move in March 21. Two of the three commercial spaces on the first floor of the building were occupied last year. A ribbon cutting was held for that phase of the project in October.

Bresee’s Department Store was the centerpiece of downtown Oneonta for decades, until its decline in the 1990s.

It’s good to see a landmark building that stood vacant and decaying for so long return to vibrancy.
