To a donation by Brewery Ommegang to help Milford Emergency Squad better serve its residents.

The squad received a RAD 57 — a piece of equipment used to monitor such things as carbon monoxide and oxygen levels in the blood, squad captain Damon West said.

“It will make life easier, serving our community and others,” West said.

The squad started to provide services at Ommegang events in 2011. “They’ve been great to work with,” West said.

Ommegang events coordinator John Tuchowski said squad volunteers have provided emergency services at concerts at the brewery as needed.

“We make periodic donations,” he said, but when brewery officials found the squad had to borrow the equipment for its events, the company decided it would be the best for the community to have the equipment available.

It’s good to see local companies help out their local volunteers and communities.
