In Our Opinion: Cheers and Jeers

And there’s no relief in sight. Forecasts for this week see temperatures climbing into the 90s, with some thunderstorms and rain.

Don’t get us wrong. We realize that it’s July in upstate New York, and to some extent, heat and humidity are normal.

The thing is, we get a bit spoiled. Usually there are some cooler days mixed in with the sweltering temperatures to give you a little relief. Or at least some rousing thunderstorms to break up the monotony.

But this unrelieved day after day of heat, heat and more heat, with a side of high humidity? It’s a little hard to take.

We know that, come November, we’ll be missing these days of sweating in the hot sun. But right now, a little snow sounds pretty nice, doesn’t it?
