How to search archives

The Daily Star website is organized by section, by date and by time. Monday through Saturday, The Daily Star website will update with the latest news, sports and opinion articles. In each section, the most recent stories appear at the top and decend down the page.

Articles September 2007 to current

Beginning early September 2007, The Daily Star launched a redesigned website aimed at providing our readers with more of what they want: news, sports, opinion, photos, video, midday updates and interactivity.

To Access the articles published since our redesign, you may use the search engine on our homepage. This search engine was built primarily to search the new website.

Articles 1998 to September 2007

To search the new website as well as our old website files, please use the search engine below. Our old website files were moved from to This made the search engine innacurately search our website, resulting in deadlinks.

To alleviate this problem, the search engine below is created specifically to search both the old and the new website.

Obituaries prior to 4/3/06

Obituaries prior to April 2006 can be found on our old website by clicking the following link: Obituaries Prior to April 2006. These obituaries are also searchable using the search engine below.

Obituaries for the past year

Starting in April 2006, The Daily Star began using the Legacy Obituary service for our website. Legacy archives our daily obituaries for the past 365 days and their associated guestbooks for 30 days, unless sponsored. These obituaries can be found by using the search engine on our obituaries page on our website. You may also use the calendar to browse through each month and list all obituaries by day, on our obituary page as well.
