Gary Rosa is the right choice for Delaware County Judge on Nov. 6. Gary is a man of intelligence, with a thorough knowledge of the law, and a commitment to justice and fair play. Having grown up in Margaretville, Gary has an understanding of, and compassion for, the people of Delaware County whom he will serve. These qualities have been well-represented in his tenure as town of Middletown judge — the qualities we need in our next Delaware County judge.
I was Gary’s high school English teacher and varsity boys soccer coach at Margaretville Central School in the 1970s. The personal and moral qualities mentioned above were well on their way to fruition by the time I had Gary as a student and as a soccer player. In the classroom, Gary set his academic standards high, and was an excellent student. Gary had a quiet fire to excel, to learn, to do and to do well.
As a soccer player, Gary brought these personal qualities for success to our team and his teammates. That “quiet fire to excel,” as well as intelligence, commitment to fairness and team play made Gary a great teammate, leader and competitor. On the soccer field, Gary was a hard-nosed defender (“defender”...doesn’t that sound “right” even then?). He understood
T-E-A-M. Gary saw our route to success as the group venture it was. He understood that our team was building a bond, a sense of family and trust, that was essential to achieving our goals.
Gary “got it” then, and he “gets it” now. Gary Rosa is a leader, a team player, and a defender of justice and fair play. Gary Rosa is the right choice for Delaware County judge. I urge you to vote for Gary Rosa on Election Day. I am.
