I read with great disgust Mr. Bill Scutt’s letter Oct. 22.
Mr. Scutt, I am a first-generation American. My family has been in the military and fought for this country in every war since World War II, and still are. I lost my grandson due to the Iraqi war, and still have two grandsons in the military and one nephew in Afghanistan right now. You, sir, and people like you are what’s wrong with this country.
While our families are standing behind our president and fighting for our country, you are undermining our unity and our soldiers with lies and derision.
Morals? You speak of morals? Remember one of the Ten Commandments? Thou shalt not lie? The president does not support, nor does any of his cabinet, NAMBLA. You, and that other organization, who spread lies about our president, family or faith, also said if he got elected, the Boy Scouts would no longer exist. Well, they do, and they are thriving, although they do have some of their own issues with having abusers of children inside their organization as of late.
And what about those rumors you spread that President Obama was going to take our guns? Still got mine ... And all those other wild accusations, like “porn mags on every corner.” None of those predictions came true, and none came forward and apologized then, either.
You should be ashamed of yourself. We all know exactly why people like you are saying these things and it is utterly un-Christian, and Un-American.
