In Your Opinion: Newspaper ignores Obama lawlessness

As a conservative, I can see the lawlessness of the Obama administration. The media, which includes The Daily Star, turn a blind eye to misconduct of this president and his administration.

The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is a law the president keeps changing by executive action. He should be going through Congress — it is the people’s voice.

Obama uses the I.R.S. to go after conservative groups. I’m sure he will go after all conservatives one day if we don’t stop him. We all must get out and vote.

The Star’s column in the Opinion section on Feb. 15 goes after a group called New York Revolution. This group is against the NY SAFE Act. This law was passed by Gov. Cuomo in the dead of night behind closed doors without the people of this state knowing anything about it.

This law goes against the Second Amendment, which in part states “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” It doesn’t say what kind of arms and it doesn’t say how many bullets. By the way, having a weapon doesn’t mean you have it just to go hunting to kill a deer. Who is Cuomo to tell us how many bullets I can keep in my weapon?

It’s not surprising to see this paper go against conservative thinkers. You are on the left when it comes to most of your columns. I will say sometimes you are close to being a progressive socialist paper; that is my opinion.

As a conservative, we believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, founding principles of individual liberty, free markets, a constitutional government and in most cases we believe in God.
