The Daily Star
---- — In my opinion, we need to stand up for our American right to worship according to the dictates of our own conscience. If Christianity offends some people, then that's their problem. No one is forcing their belief on others or them.
God has never used force to bring his children back to him. Governments shouldn't either. Our founding fathers understood this. I wrote the following, in this regard:
'Twas a month before Christmas, when all through the states, not a mention of Christmas, as it's now considered bad taste.
The stores were ready for holiday sales. The post office bracing for holiday mail. The bakeries were baking holiday bread. On the streets hung holiday wreaths of silver and red.
Holiday lights lit up the town, holiday music played round and round, but joy was still missing and did not abound.
“Why are they not happy?” The mayor exclaimed. “Instead of a smile, they walk with a frown.”
Then suddenly out of nowhere, an old man appeared. “I remember!” he said “it's a Christmas story, not a holiday thing!”
“It's how a baby was born, he was Earth's heavenly king, and he took away all of mankind's sin, born to give us everlasting life and take us to Heaven to live with him."
Then the townspeople began to smile as they too remembered that holy night. Then smiles turned to song and joy filled the air. It started with them then spread far and near, across the states and oceans too. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas. May God bless you!
I will not apologize for Jesus.
