The Harpersfield Town Board and “our” planning board have a serious lack of interest for the homeowners that live close by the NYS Motorcycle track. It doesn’t matter that, besides the constant weekend noise, our property values have plummeted. Their property and lives haven’t been affected, so why should they care? We can still pay high taxes on our property that who in their right mind would want to buy, just so a select few can profit! Then the town can give the Lubinskys from the track a high tax break.
Of course, when my tenants move out in 2014, it doesn’t matter if I can’t rent the family homestead house that has a two lane paved highway in back of it, which used to be a little one-lane dirt right-of-way road.
In closing, I just want to thank you for being such a cooperative board to accommodate the NYST and the Lubinskys — and showing all the rest of us taxpayers that you don’t care about the quality of our lives or what has happened to our property values. Is this being a good neighbor? Just wondering.
How did you let this happen?
