---- — Becker deserves to be re-elected
I would like to endorse Fritz Becker for re-election as Delaware County judge. As one who has practiced as a family physician in Delaware County for over 35 years, I have had frequent experiences with the Family Court.
I am familiar with efforts to address many such problems with initiatives such as the Adult Drug Treatment Court that works with non-violent offenders and the Family Treatment Court that works with parents who have substance-abuse problems resulting in their children being placed into foster care.
In both instances the focus is on treatment and rehabilitation, attempting to assist individuals to regain their self-respect and return as productive members of the community. The success rate of these programs has been twice that of conventional programs, and Judge Becker has played an instrumental role in making it successful. Programs such as these save the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Judge Carl “Fritz” Becker has always been fair and yet firm. He is honest, hardworking and unprejudiced. I hope the voters decide to re-elect him as our county judge.

Sean Lennon’s world is illusion
This is a response to Sean Lennon’s oppressive and slanted public cry of wolf!
In a world of persecution, our constitutional ideals, not the ad-lib ideals of naysayers, provide the continuity of life itself.
If one hand knows not what the other does — chaos. I seek no quarrel with a closed mind.
Imagine, if you will, a world of illusion, where celebrity dictates rights over humanity and a ring of birch trees takes precedence over individual liberties, though an actual threat to them exists only in hysterical, self-centered literature.
Then think of Sean Lennon and others like him, whose self-interests preclude common considerations of, not only the constitutional rights of other citizens, but a total disregard for the science(s) that produced this whole society.
Like, no one else likes swimming holes? And what — the Nobel Prize for no cable TV?
Also, who stopped one of the most influential and talented musicians — ever — from farming? What kind of farm was Imagined?
