Eckelmann has served town well
Election time is near, and as I see signs for the candidates, I break into a smile when I see the sign for Town Supervisor Charles Eckelmann.
I smile because I know he has done a tremendous job for our town in the past four years and will continue to do so if given the opportunity. I also smile because he is my father and I could not be more proud.
Being his daughter, I know how lucky I am to have him in my life and I want to make it known how lucky the town has been to have him as supervisor. He is a man who dedicates his whole being into performing the job at hand. If you have a question or concern, he will get you answers, even if it is outside the scope of being town supervisor. You can guarantee his help, no matter the problem.
The town has been able to purchase new equipment and machinery without taking out loans, saving the town thousands in interest, and our taxes did not go up last year. These are just a couple of the many positives. After the purchase of the Copes Corners Park, my father rolled up his sleeves and cleaned bathrooms and pavilions, and often mowed the lawn. He is a man who is not afraid of getting his hands dirty in order to get the job done.
So I ask you to think hard on Election Day and vote for the man who can continue to dedicate the time and has the skills to remain town supervisor. That man is my father, Charles Eckelmann. Oh and by the way, I married a farmer. So never let it be said my father is against farmers. He knows the importance and value of a farm.
