Williams has values, experience for job

The Daily Star

---- — The race for Schenevus-Maryland Highway Superintendent affords the voters this year with choices, but beware of those who promise what they can not give.

How about a candidate who is a lifelong local person, growing up on a dairy farm? Who has a reverence and love for the land, as a result of the role of the farmer as caretaker? How about a community activist; an uncompromising, fervent advocate for children? With a background in construction, including the Alaskan pipeline? Experience in business, working within a budget, controlling costs, exercising payroll? How about a candidate with experience in machinery operation and repair? A family man, a loyal friend, a man willing to help his neighbor in need? A free thinker, a problem solver, and last, a patriot believing in a Constitutional republic, one nation under God.

Is it also not notable that this man in collaboration with the publisher of The Daily Star, Mitchell Lynch, is providing our children with a printing of our Constitution?

Consider Ken Williams for highway superintendent: a man of vision, fiscal responsibility and the skills needed to do the job.
