DiNapoli’s office favors Democrats
Last June, I sent a signed complaint to the New York State Public Integrity Bureau. It was referred to the State Comptroller’s Office on July 12.
The complaint was about New Lisbon’s higher fuel bid of 2012 and 2013 bid being rounded to the nearest cent. It looked to me that the 2013 bid would increase the chance for a tie, then the board could give the bid to whom they want to.
I heard nothing from the Comptroller’s office. I called them at the end of September. They claimed they just got it that day. I’ll be damned — that day! They took my phone number and said the one who would be handling the case was not in that day and would call me back. I have yet to hear from them.
Back in September, State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli was the keynote speaker at an Otsego County Democratic fundraiser.
The three New Lisbon board members that voted for the higher fuel bid are Bob Eklund, Glen Noto and Ed Lentz. Noto and Lentz are Democrats.
In Ed Lentz’s Sept. 5 campaign letter for the county board, he mentions issues confronting us — rising energy cost. In my opinion, Lentz is an idiot; he voted for a higher fuel bid!
It looks to me if the Democrats take control over the county board, they can do whatever they want, and the state comptroller, Tom DiNapoli, will look the other way.
