---- — While Mr. Zagata’s supporters are crying “foul” over what they call “personal attacks,” Mr. Zagata cannot have it both ways. He cannot continue to refer to himself as a former commissioner of the state Department of Environmental Conservation without someone calling attention to his troubled and controversial tenure in that position.
The impression Mr. Zagata gives when he identifies himself as such is that he is an environmentalist. I thank Mr. Waldman for providing some needed context. Some of us did not need the New York Times editorial. Some of us remember.
