Mankind abusing the Earth

Mankind abusing the Earth

Recently I saw a dead crow near the pavement near my home. Ordinarily, I would have gotten plastic gloves and moved the crow to a brush lot behind my home. I didn’t and later a pre-teen boy picked up the crow and threw it at another boy, then rode his bicycle over the dead crow, a senseless, abusive act.

No creature, alive or dead, should be abused and disrespected. However, humans have, for millenia, been abusing and disrespecting Earth, its land and its creatures. Eventually, there may be backlash for all this abuse and disrespect — and may already be in progress.

There may come a time when humans, in order to survive, may have to “eat crow” — unless crows outlast humans and feast on the decaying flesh of the last humans.

I did remove the dead crow.
