---- — I feel that I must write to express my displeasure about the members of the County Board of Representatives’ handling of the proposed sale of Otsego Manor. It is reprehensible that they would consider this without having the community at large aware. They went into executive session and returned with the resolution to sell the Manor.
I feel that the issue should have been put up for a vote so that the public at large could make their thoughts known. That would seem to be a fair and reasonable option.
I have worked in nursing homes owned by the private sector and none of these experiences have been satisfactory, especially for the residents and their families.
If my family or I was a resident at the Manor we would be displeased with the proposed sale and the lack of opportunity for the public to voice their opinions.
