The Daily Star
I was at the anti-fracking rally in Albany. I’m another one who is against fracking. I’m concerned about it because they are going to frack near where my uncle and aunt live.
A gas driller died at a fracking site in Smyrna near where they live, because it is so unsafe. I’m concerned about my uncle and aunt that they would get sick too. I’m concerned for the wildlife, my cat and all of us.
Leave dogs at home
when it’s hot
Could someone tell me why people feel the need to take their dogs out of their homes when it’s 85 degrees to 90-plus degrees outside?
On Saturday, Aug. 4, around 3 p.m. I went to Tractor Supply to pick up a few things when I pulled into a parking spot. Parked next to me was a brown car with a small, brown dog inside, he was panting like crazy. The driver’s window was down about 6 inches to 8 inches, obviously not nearly enough. It was 90 plus degrees outside! I was furious! This is abuse!
On Thursday, Aug. 9, around 4:30 p.m. as I traveled down Route 7 coming into Colliersville, a lady was jogging with a dog whose feet were running on the hot road and his tongue was hanging out of its mouth about as far as it could. I looked down at the temperature as it shows in my car and it was a bombing 86 degrees! If you think jogging in this heat isn’t hurting the dog _ think again. Hey lady, the next time you want to go jogging, wait till it’s 86 degrees or higher, put on a fur coat and go for it!
People, wake up; leave your pets at home!
