The Daily Star
---- — Teresa Winchester is running for Otsego County representative for the towns of Butternuts, Morris and Pittsfield. I highly recommend her. Many people know she was one of the best leaders in the anti-fracking movement in Otsego County and has worked tirelessly in that cause. What many people do not realize is that she has a deep interest in many other issues in the county and has a broad knowledge of county government.
She developed her expertise on environmental issues as director of the Otsego County Conservation Association. Her grant-writing skills helped procure $33,000 for agricultural projects in the Butternut Valley. She is an officer of the Butternut Valley Alliance, which promotes local sustainability.
She was deeply concerned over the privatization of “The Manor” and care of our seniors. I know her well and admire her ability to do research on issues under her consideration.
