Tom Armao knows that this anti-fracker has spent way over $100,000 at Country Club Chevrolet over the years. I consider this my contribution to Tom’s sustainability and economic growth. I will continue to do business with CCC as I am very happy with his sales and service. We are both on the same page except that I prefer not to be baked in a solar oven and Tom does not seem to mind the idea.
I have earned almost none of my income in upstate New York for almost 40 years. When I drive to work, or ship product, it is mostly to the New York metro area. I bring my earned income back to Otsego County and spend it all here. I do that so that our family can continue to enjoy life in Otsego County. I am long-term optimistic for upstate New York if it is not fracked.
Clean water and clean air are the real gold in New York state. The global economies of the future will be built around 100 percent recycling, power from the sun and fossil fuels left in the ground. The sustainable folks are not against all pipelines in New York state. We want to see tourism pipelines, agricultural products pipelines, high-technology pipelines, renewable energy pipelines, clean water and clean air pipelines, healthy New Yorkers pipelines, skilled worker pipelines. clean manufacturing pipelines, creative entrepreneur pipelines, educational pipelines, among others.
I am a trustee in the village of Cooperstown and an Executive Board member of the Otsego County Democratic Committee.
I am an elected official, I recognize the challenge.
I am also not up for re-election.
Vote for the Democratic or Sustainable Otsego candidates on Nov. 5 in Otsego County.
We are all on the same page.
