I wish to express my support for Charlie Eckelmann for supervisor of the town of Butternuts in the upcoming election. When Charlie first took office four years ago, the town budget was in shambles. It had been mismanaged for years under the previous supervisor, Keith Lilley.
As a former fiscal officer for the U.S. Marine Corps, and later a defense budget analyst for the U.S. House of Representatives, I was appalled at this state of affairs occurring in my own town. We elected Charlie to fix this mess, and he did a superb job: he rolled up his sleeves, balanced the budget, and did so without raising our taxes. I urge people to join me in voting to re-elect Charlie Eckelmann for the post of Butternuts town supervisor.
