Let's get rid of everyone in Washington

American people are stupid. How do I know this? We keep going to the ballot boxes year after year and we keep electing the same pathetic group of mental misfits. We then wring our hands and worry like crazy about what we should do in regard to the mess in Washington D.C. You know: sequestration, the government shutdown, and let’s not forget the debt ceiling.

Another example is the Affordable Care Act. My criticism has nothing to do with the law, it’s how the law was enacted. Ninety percent of the people who voted on this legislation either pro or con did not even take the time to read it. What kind of way is this to govern?

We should be real proud of our elected leaders who wanted their colleagues to vote first and then read the legislation. So much for our best interests.

How do we correct what is wrong? The answer is easy, but I don’t believe the American people are smart enough to get it.

The answer is to start a movement known as the “If you are in, you are out.” In other words, whoever is up for re-election next in the House or the Senate should be voted out. If you have a Democrat in your district or state, then in the next election you must vote Republican, and if you have a Republican in your district or state, you must vote Democratic. The results would still be a divided government, but the shock waves sent would be enormous. We would have to do this for at least three elections so we can make sure we remove all of the losers in the Senate.

Let’s face it, folks; our leadership in Washington stinks! Boehner, Pelosi, Reid, McConnell, Obama are just plain terrible. Let’s get them out of there and make sure they take all of their brainless buddies with them.

Remember, friends, “If you are in you are out.”
