“My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” — John F. Kennedy.
Forty-seven million Americans survive on food stamps, 23 million Americans are out of work. When you count those who stop looking for work, are under-employed or working two jobs to make ends meet, the true unemployment is 15 percent. One out of six families living at the poverty level will escape 21 new taxes starting January 2013.
About 50 percent of Americans pay no federal income tax. The War on Poverty is legislation that addressed poverty and at best created a dependency on government. When 50 percent of the voters are in the dependent class and depend on the federal government for a substantial percentage of their income or benefits, they vote for the Party of Government. The Have Nots become dependent on government redistribution of wealth.
Sixteen trillion in debt and escalating, eventually the government will run out of the people’s money. The Party of Government wins every time! This Fourth of July, Americans will be celebrating Dependence Day.
Americans will decide the direction of their country, for better or worst. I give you a republic; now keep it — Ben Franklin.
