Thank you to all who participated in the Impact Survey. With your help the library will formulate a technology plan that will help improve our services across the community. A final report will be posted on our website by mid-January. We’ve received 250 surveys with the hope for more by the end of the final day. According to the survey administrators, 250 respondents is a high number for a community of our size so thank you again for participating.
IT’S IN OUR HANDS: AN ART INITIATIVE FOR THE COMMUNITY
Stop by the library to see the beautiful, limited edition print that was donated by State University College at Oneonta student Lynn Golan. She started this project to build solidarity within the Oneonta community through art and to spark a conversation about how we all can do our part to build and strengthen our community. According to Lynn, “her artwork represents the ever uplifting sense of community, respect, love and strength that we can create when we connect to one another and to the land we share.” Posted next to her print are stickers that can be used to share the message. Post the sticker anywhere in your community, then “like” and upload a photo to www.facebook.com/oneontainourhands to join the conversation.
DOWNLOADING EBOOKS AND AUDIOBOOKS
If you happen to receive a new tablet or smart phone this holiday season, don’t forget that you can make an appointment for one-on-one assistance to learn how to download free ebooks and audiobooks from the library. Each session is up to one hour long.
