New Children's Books

Fans of "Goodnight Moon" will delight in the takeoff "Goodnight iPad" by Ann Droyd. (Say the author's name quickly and you'll see the farce right away). Everyone in the house is plugged in to one form of technology or another. When grandma announces bedtime and everyone says no, she takes matters into her own hands and starts throwing all the gadgets out the window. You'll love the rhyming text and all the references to today's gadgets. A book for the whole family.

Milly Moo the cow has a problem. She loves producing tasty milk, but she's so hot, she can't make any at all. All the other cows make fun of her and the farmer is losing patience. When the temperature drops in "Chilly Milly Moo" by Fiona Ross, a strange thing happens to Milly and you'll want to be right there to read about it.

Eli is a very lovable dog. Unfortunately, he's always getting into trouble in "Eli, No!" by Katie Kirk. Kids will laugh when they see all the things he does that he isn't supposed to do. It may even remind them of some of the mischievous things they do.

The library will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 26. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Library Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; closed Sunday.
