The Daily Star
---- — The Friends of the Huntington Memorial Library group supports the library in many ways and is important to the overall mission. Members help to promote library activities, create library displays, organize speaker events and raise funds.
Become a part of this great organization, and if you join before Nov. 1 you’ll be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift certificate to the Green Toad Bookstore.
The group will hold its Annual Meeting just before the Oct. 21 program. The agenda will include the election of officers and board members for 2014. The slate of officers is Co-Presidents: Chris Burrington and Karyl Sage, Vice President: Marcella Drago, Secretary: Joanne Johnston, Treasurer: Paul Lilly and Board members: Jack Holstead and Marilyn Rosas. All members of the Friends group are invited to vote.
More information and a membership form are available on our website at hmloneonta.org.
The program following the annual meeting will be “Magic of the Hands and the Mind” at 6:45 p.m.
Brian Foley has performed magic professionally for more than 30 years in Europe, for heads of state and for major corporations. His program is an exposition of classical and modern close-up and parlor magic. Cards and coins are the medium of the close-up and the mind is the medium of the parlor magic. Foley will demonstrate and explain these unique processes.
Enjoy sophisticated entertainment as well as some absurd humor with Brian Foley, “The Amazing Great.”
The performance is intended for an adult audience.
