Magic of the Hands and the Mind at 6:45 p.m. Monday. Brian Foley “The Amazing Great” has performed magic professionally for more than 30 years in Europe, for heads of state and for major corporations. His program is an exposition of classical and modern close-up and parlor magic.This performance is intended for an adult audience.
Scrabble Group will mee at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Scrabble enthusiasts meet at the library on a monthly basis to play this popular word game. All ability levels are welcome to attend and there are plenty of Scrabble boards to go around.
Whether you are a beginning genealogist, someone who is looking to get back to genealogy, or a seasoned pro, we have a class for you. All classes are free.
Internet Resources for the Genealogist will be offered from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 29; 10 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 5 and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 6. The Internet is always changing; get started on your family genealogy with an introduction to the top web sites that genealogist use. If it has been a while since you have visited these sites – come for a refresher. Sites that will be covered include Familysearch.org, USGenWeb, Castle Garden, Find a Grave, and Rootsweb. If there is time, other sites will be covered based on the research questions of participants. Stop by or call to register.
Genealogy Research Time will be offered from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 7. If you just need to find the time to do the research in a quiet environment, here it is. Computers will be available for open use for genealogical research. Take advantage of the Library’s subscription to Ancestry.com Library edition or search other sites. Sarah will be available to assist you with your research questions as well. Walk-ins are welcome.
