Communication is key for library patrons

The Huntington Library is continuing to improve the mechanisms for communicating with our patrons.

Beginning in mid-November, we have begun to send eNews to our patrons with email addresses. If you would like to sign up to receive the eNews, please go to our website. www.hmloneonta.org. and click on “Subscribe to our eNews by clicking here.” Library news will focus primarily on our events and programs but we will also include updates and information about our services. You can unsubscribe at any time.

TECHNOLOGY IMPACT SURVEY

We want to hear from you! Starting Dec. 2 through Dec. 23 the library will run an online technology impact survey to understand how patrons use the library’s technology so we can provide resources and services that are valuable to the community. The Impact Survey is anonymous, available in English and Spanish, and takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete. The survey is confidential and does not collect any personally identifiable information.

Please support the library and help us improve our services. On Dec. 2, go to the library website

www.hmloneonta.org and click on the survey button to fill out the survey or access it from one of the library’s public access computers.

Impact Survey is a project of the University of Washington Information School. For more information about the Impact Survey, inquire at the library information desk or visit http://impactsurvey.org.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS

The Greeting Cards of Rockwell Kent presented by Robert Rightmire will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9. Kent was once called America’s most popular artist. Since that time in the 1930s, his place in 20th-century American art has evolved from being forgotten to being rediscovered. He was known as a painter, illustrator, print maker, wood engraver, author, architect and social and political activist. All of these mediums of expression are seen in the greeting cards he created from 1910 to the 1960s. This talk will offer an introduction to Rockwell Kent’s art.
