Learn to use digital books

Come learn how to use our digital books service in a hands-on workshop. Participants should bring their laptop and be able to connect to a wireless Internet connection.

This class will focus on laptop users, but anyone interested in learning may attend. Kindle class attendees do not need their own laptop, but may bring one if they prefer. These workshops will cover the library service for lending e-books and the basic navigation involved to get a library e-book. Please sign up for one time slot.

Classes are about 1 to 1½ hours long and registration is required. Call the library at 432-1980 or sign up in person for these classes. The schedule is as follows:

Digital Books – One-on-One Assistance: If you’ve attended one of our classes and still need help or want to learn more, sign up for a one-hour session with librarian Sarah Livingston. She’ll answer your questions, and if you like, explain how to manually transfer files (both with Digital Rights Management and DRM free). She can also show you how to play audio files on your e-reader device. Need a refresher course? Sarah will deal with any how-to questions you have and try her best to answer them. Sign up for this session only if you are already using your e-reader or have taken a class from us. Classes are about one hour long, depending on questions. Call Sarah at the library at 432-1980 or stop in at the front desk to make an appointment. Registration is required.
