All of Zachary’s relatives come to his house to visit and there aren’t enough beds. People end up sleeping in some pretty crazy places in “Not Enough Beds!” by Lisa Bullard. This alphabet book finds sleepers in the bathtub, on the stairs, on their heads, and some other pretty crazy places. A fun book to read aloud with the rhyming text.
Oh, no — Santa can’t stop sneezing and it’s almost Christmas Eve! If Santa gets sick, who will deliver the presents? His friends step in, send him to bed, and take over all his chores so he’ll get better quickly. Julie Sykes “Bless You, Santa!” is loads of fun.
Mrs. Santa Claus never gets to go anywhere and Santa travels the world. She decides to take a vacation and have some adventures of her own. As she hitches up the sleigh and reindeer and sleigh she promises Santa she’ll be back by Christmas Eve so he can have the sleigh. Go along on with her in Linas Alsenas story “Mrs. Claus Takes a Vacation.”
No Christmas season is complete without a reading of “The Night Before Christmas.” This well-loved tale has been illustrated by countless artists and the library has many different versions for you to enjoy.
