Early-morning Main Street closure planned

— ONEONTA — Main Street in downtown Oneonta is scheduled for closure Friday morning between 5:30 and 7:30 a.m.
The closure is to allow the removal of asphalt cores that will be studied to determine why the surface of the street, which was paved three years ago, is deteriorating.
The stretch of Main Street scheduled to be closed is between Chestnut Street and Grand Street.
The closure and the work is dependent on the weather, according to city officials, and the street will reopen once the work is completed.
