The alleged murderer of a former Oneonta resident has been indicted by a state of Maryland grand jury, according to a Thursday story online at www.Gazette.net, the website of a Maryland community newspaper group.

Shawn M. Henderson, 25, is charged with first-degree murder, use of a handgun in commission of a crime of violence and robbery with a dangerous or deadly weapon, in the death of Lindsay Marie Harvey, 25, of Gaithersburg, Md. Police said she was shot in the head during an April 13 robbery outside her home.

Harvey graduated from Oneonta High School in 2000.

Henderson, a previously convicted violent offender, faces the death penalty or life without parole if convicted, the report said.
