NORWICH _ State police at Sidney are asking for help in locating the suspect in an armed robbery in Norwich on Thursday night.
The incident occurred at Lovejoy's Boutique at 6090 state Route 12 in the town of Norwich, troopers said.
The suspect is described as a white male, about five-feet nine-inches tall, weighing between 150 and 180 pounds, with blonde hair and light blue eyes, troopers said.
He brandished a long gun and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, in what was believed to be a dark-colored, older-model sedan, troopers said.
He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, faded black jeans, dark colored baseball cap, black sneakers, camouflage mask and black gloves troopers said. Anyone with information is asked to call troopers at 561-7400.

ONEONTA _ The city of Oneonta water department will be flushing hydrants in the following areas during the week of May 12, according to a release: Country Club Road, Oneida Street, lower Main Street and River Street (city and town). For more information, call 432-2100.
The flushing will be done each night between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., according to the release. Residents in these area may have rusty water for a short period of time. The public service department can be contacted at 432-2100.
SIDNEY _ A Sidney man was arrested Friday after an investigation by Sidney police and the state police at Sidney computer crime unit, according to a media release from Sidney police.
Gregory R. Cutting, 22, was arrested for possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony, police said.
Questions about the case were referred by Sidney police to Delaware County District Attorney Richard Northrup, who could not be reached by phone at his office Friday night.
Cutting was released to appear in Sidney Village Court on May 20, police said.
