'Mockingbird' forum Monday

ONEONTA _ A community forum will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Autumn Cafe to discuss tolerance and justice, themes in Harper Lee's novel "To Kill A Mockingbird."

Facilitators will be Sugwon Kang, professor emeritus at Hartwick College, and Oneonta Mayor John Nader, also a dean at the State University College of Technology at Delhi.

This forum is part of the National Endowment for the Arts "Big Read" celebration of reading for pleasure. For more information on the area's Big Read, go to: www.foothillspac.org/TheBigRead.htm

The Autumn Cafe, at 244 Main St., will be open at 7 p.m. Monday, serving desserts and beverages before and during the event.
