June 02, 2009 07:34 am Oneonta woman accused of bringing heroin into jail COOPERSTOWN _ An Oneonta woman was accused of taking heroin into the Otsego County jail last month, Otsego County deputies said. Michelle L. Slonaker, 23, of 336 Chestnut St., Room 255, was charged Wednesday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree promoting prison contraband, both misdemeanors, deputies said. The 336 Chestnut St. address is Motel 88, formerly the Oasis Motor Inn. Slonaker, a felony probationer, was committed to the jail on a violation of probation out of Otsego County Court on May 20, according to a media release. During the intake process, the jail staff found a glassine envelope containing heroin in Slonaker's cigarette pack. She is to appear in court at a later date. Boards to hold workshop The New Lisbon town and planning boards will hold a joint workshop at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Garrattsville Town Hall, according to a media release from the town. The purpose will be to continue revising the subdivision regulations originally adopted in 1989 and site development plan review regulations, which were originally adopted in 1990. Once any updates or revisions are made, a public hearing will be held before any regulations would take effect, the release said.
